(More customer reviews)After having many a few other monitors this one seems to work the best. I have a bi-level house and had problems with past monitors getting static. I've had no problem with noise. My only complaints is that a couple of times the monitor froze for lack of better words. When this happens the picture freezes, temperature stops reading and I lose sound. Its only happened a few times. I can live with this...if it gets worse, I'll return it. As for the temp reading, my monitor is mounted towards the ceiling so I can see the crib as a whole. Heat rises so I expect it to read warmer than the actual temp. We have a ceiling fan in the room that has a thermostat (it goes on and off at the desired temp)...but for the most part the monitor reads within a couple of degrees of the thermostat in the room. I had to return my previous monitor multiple times and finally ended up getting this one. My suggestion, if your not happy with it, or don't think it is working properly...send it back. The Summer company was very easy to work with, and kept trying until they got it right.
